A collaboration between BCRW and <a href=\"http:\/\/q4ej.org\/\" title=\"link to Queers for Economic Justice\" target=\"_blank\">Queers for Economic Justice<\/a>, \u201cA New Queer Agenda\u201d shows how activists, academics, and organizers can work together to build larger, more effective social justice movements by accessing connections between queer life and issues like immigration, hunger, aging, health care, welfare, and family. The contributors invite us to push beyond the platform of security and belonging offered by gay marriage to a broader politics of economic, political, and sexual justice for all.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/sca.as.nyu.edu\/object\/LisaDuggan\" title=\"link to Lisa Duggan's bio\" target=\"_blank\">Lisa Duggan<\/a><\/strong> is a journalist, activist, and Professor of Social and Cultural Analysis at New York University. She is author of <em>Twilight of Equality: Neoliberalism, Cultural Politics and the Attack on Democracy<\/em> and <em>Sapphic Slashers: Sex, Violence and American Modernity<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/kenyonfarrow.com\/\" title=\"link to Kenyon Farrow's website\" target=\"_blank\">Kenyon Farrow<\/a><\/strong> is a Black gay activist and writer based in New York City. He is the former Executive Director of Queers for Economic Justice, and has also been a longtime HIV\/AIDS activist having worked on HIV\/AIDS with Policy Institute at the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force, Housing Works and Community HIV\/AIDS Mobilization Project. He currently serves on the board of Streetwise and Safe in NYC, and the advisory committee of BreakOUT! in New Orleans. In addition to his political work, he is a prolific writer whose work has appeared in numerous publications and anthologies and the co-editor of <em>Letters From Young Activists: Today\u2019s Rebels Speak Out<\/em>. A well-known activist, artist, public intellectual, and community organizer, she is the author of <em>My Dangerous Desires: A Queer Girl Dreaming Her Way Home<\/em> and the director and co-producer of <em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.pbs.org\/pov\/heartofthematter\/\" title=\"link to The Heart of the Matter\" target=\"_blank\">The Heart of the Matter<\/a><\/em>, a documentary focusing on women\u2019s sexuality, denial, and risk for HIV\/AIDS.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.thenation.com\/authors\/richard-kim\" title=\"link to Richard Kim's bio\" target=\"_blank\">Richard Kim<\/a><\/strong> is the Executive Editor of <a href=\"http:\/\/TheNation.com\" title=\"link to TheNation.com\" target=\"_blank\">TheNation.com<\/a> and co-editor of the <em>New York Times<\/em> best-selling book <em>Going Rogue: Sarah Palin, An American Nightmare<\/em>.
