Between 2011-2012, Sakhi for\u2028 South Asian Women<\/a> convened two meetings of grassroots organizers \u2028to address the challenges of \u2028building a broader anti-violence movement. These events explored\u2028 the intersections between domestic violence and issues like immigration, transphobia, incarceration, and reproductive justice. While communities of color have always been disproportionately affected by such kinds of violence, they have \u2028also often been marginalized by the mainstream anti-domestic violence movement. This latest installment of the New Feminist Solutions<\/a><\/em> series distills the findings of these gatherings and foregrounds stories from communities of \u2028color who are responding boldly\u2028 to domestic violence within a \u2028social justice framework.
