Dr. Reisman\u2019s laboratory has ongoing research programs targeting the chemical syntheses of several natural products. The densely packed arrays of heteroatoms and stereogenic centers that constitute these polycyclic targets challenge the limits of current technology and inspire the development of new synthetic strategies and tactics. This seminar will describe their latest progress in both methodological and target-directed synthesis endeavors.<\/p>\n<p>Sarah E. Reisman is Professor of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering at California Institute of Technology. She is the recent recipient of several honors and awards, including an Alfred P.
