This marginalization unfortunately continues in shared Black LGBTQ spaces and in lesbian specific\/welcoming or women-only spaces which\u00a0frequently address &#8220;women of color&#8221; issues but refuse to genuinely\u00a0address the unique challenges Black\/African descent lesbians constantly face. This results in\u00a0Black\/African descent\u00a0lesbian lives, issues and contributions being\u00a0systematically minimalized\u00a0or dismissed and with this marginalization, comes less to no funding or other\u00a0resources to support solutions to this problem. alyce d. emory and Kim L. Ford, two NYC community workers &amp; activists, developed <strong>Beyond Bold And Brave<\/strong>, as a possible solution.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Beyond Bold And Brave <\/strong>works to increase the visibility of Black\/African Descent Lesbians<strong>*\u00a0<\/strong>in our communities by supporting and producing programs, projects and events that responsibly and truthfully affirm and represent Black \/African Descent Lesbian life, work and identity.
