As the pendulum swings toward intensified immigration enforcement, discredited drug war tactics, expansion of \u201cbroken windows\u201d policing, rampant Islamophobia, and attacks on gender, sexual and reproductive liberation, the current political climate fuels police violence against Black women and women of color on every front. In this context, women of color\u2019s experiences of policing \u2013 often invisible in broader debates \u2013 must in turn fuel our resistance. This conference was the first in a series of events taking place in the midwest, south, and west coast to explore the themes of Invisible No More and ongoing resistance to police violence against Black women and women of color.<\/div>\n
