BEYOND BOLD AND BRAVE presents the 3rd Biennial Black Lesbian Conference.  This event that’s by, for and about black lesbians, will welcome attendees to continue addressing priorities that can strengthen and support Black Lesbian work. Past sold-out conferences featured presentations by film/tv director Cheryl Dunye, author Jewelle Gomez, HIV/AIDS activist Dr. Marjorie Hill, filmmaker Yoruba Richen and others on “The Evolution of Our Community” in 2016 and “Work As Memoir” in 2018. For 2020, we will explore the theme, “REVOLUTIONARY WELLNESS” as a broader approach encompassing cultural & historically traditional ways and new approaches to help Black Lesbians sustain the best lives amid societal, cultural and political influences.

Since 2014, BEYOND BOLD AND BRAVE presents Black Lesbian Conferences have been produced by conference founders Alyce D. Emory and Kim L. Ford and their dedicated team of intergenerational New York City black lesbians and queer women. Advisors include Black Lesbians and allies from various professions, communities and interests. Attendance of over 200 persons for each conference has expanded from local New York area attendees to persons from national and international countries including Canada, Belize and the UK. CONFERENCE REGISTRATION

Tickets are $100 and are non-refundable. Registration will end when capacity is reached or on May 1st, whichever comes first. There will be no waiting list or on-site registration but you may transfer your registration. Please contact the conference team at blacklesbianconference@gmail.com with the name and contact information of the person you are transferring your registration to. Registration transfer requests will be honored until July 15, 2020.

Donate a registration or any amount you wish to help provide conference scholarships for persons who want to attend but have financial constraints. All donors will be acknowledged in our conference journal, on our website (beyondoboldandbrave.org) and during our conference opening program on July 31st. • Download, print, and complete the Sponsorship Form.
• Make Check payable to BARNARD COLLEGE with “Black Lesbian Conference 2020” in the memo section of the check.
• Mail completed Sponsorship Form and Sponsorship Payment Check to: Barnard Center for Research on Women attn: Pamela Phillips, Milstein Center – 6^th Floor, 3009 Broadway, New York, NY 10027.

• Go to the Barnard Giving Page
• Enter your personal information in all required sections marked with red dots.
• On the next page, choose a fund, a designation and enter “Black Lesbian Conference in the “If you chose other, please indicate fund or area” box. Your entries should look like the example below. This will designate to Barnard that your sponsorship will be processed specifically for Black Lesbian Conference 2020.
