Environmental Justice Workshop: The Scholar & Feminist 2012
There are increasing indications of worldwide environmental instability, but the consequences of this vulnerability are not equally distributed across the globe. In this workshop, panelists discuss their work dealing with the impact of environmental degradation and creating opportunities for community empowerment and justice.
This workshop, led by Tanya Fields (The BLK ProjeK), Rachel Sapery James (marine biologist), and Elizabeth C. Yeampierre (United Puerto Rican Organization of Sunset Park), was part of The Scholar and Feminist Conference 2012, “Vulnerability: The Human and the Humanities.”
