Writer Ryka Aoki reads her short story, “To the New World” from The Collection: Short Fiction from the Transgender Vanguard (Topside Press, 2012). This reading took place at the event “Staking Our Claim: Trans Women’s Literature in the 21st Century,” co-sponsored by Topside Press, the Barnard Library, and the Barnard Center for Research on Women.
